Coaches Corner
Hi! I'm Elsie Judy and I'm in the beginning phases of making a very big life decision - where to go to college. I made this coach page not to seem generic or informal, quite the contrary. I made it as a quick and easy way for you to find out a little bit more about me, my achievements, and my goals. I hope this helps and if you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you!
Alameda High School
Currently, I'm a senior at Alameda High School in Alameda, California. I have been on the women's varsity water polo and swim teams since my freshman year and I plan on continuing both sports throughout high school. In 2014, I helped the water polo team win WACC (Western Alameda County Conference) for the first time in 13 years and we were able to achieve that goal again last year. From WACC, I received All-League Honorable Mention my freshman year, All-League First Team as a sophomore and senior, and All-League First Team, unanimous selection, as a junior. In the 2015-2016 season, I was named All-NCS Division I, Second Team. My junior and senior year, I was team captain for the AHS Lady Hornets, created the "Sting" fundraiser, which raised over $3,000.00, and I helped design the team website, AHSLHWP. Our team went undefeated in our conference last year and my stats were 100 goals, 89 steals and 25 assists, the highest on my team.

680 Drivers
I've been playing for the 680 Drivers Water Polo Association since I was 12 years old. My coaches have been Todd Halvorson, 14U, Joe Borne, and Jon Leach, 16U, Jessica Cima and Craig Class, 18U. I will have attended four Junior Olympics with 680 and have participated in numerous highly competitive tournaments like Cal Cup, Winterfest, and San Diego County Cup.
What I like best about 680 is that it has made me a tough player, both mentally and physically. Not only has 680 given me the skills and techniques to be successful in water polo, it has taught me to always push myself and to never quit. That is both a continual lesson and a personal goal.
Neptunes
I started out playing water polo for the Neptunes Alameda Water Polo Club. I played under Coach Pam and Bruce Thompson and head coach Marshall Dortch. Neptunes taught me the fundamentals of water polo and the coaches made learning the game fun.
Ala-Gators
Coach Marshall is also my club swim coach and head coach of the Alameda Ala-Gators Swim Team. I have been a Gator since I was six years old and swim with Coach Marshall every morning at 5:30 am, year-round. I have weight training on Tuesday and Thursdays and swim every afternoon I don't have water polo practice.

Coach Marshall has been my mentor since freshman year. He has had a huge influence on me regarding swimming and water polo. He inspires me to be the best in and out of the pool and always makes time for me when I have questions or concerns. His training has made me a better athlete while his advise has helped me be a better team player. I strive to bring these charactoristics with me wherever I go.
